At RGA, Club Moderations arn’t about compliance for compliance’s sake it’s about connection, confidence and continuous improvement. Our Moderations Program has been designed to walk alongside clubs, providing clarity, guidance and support while ensuring the highest standards of safety, education and professionalism across our network.
This program reflects our commitment to education first, strong systems, and long-term sustainability for clubs.
What can clubs expect from the Moderation Program?
Each RGA member club will participate in a minimum of four moderations per year, ensuring regular check-ins, plenty of notice, and ongoing support:
1 Face-to-Face Moderation Visit where we come to you, see the great work you are doing onsite, have a look at your venue and enjoy a cuppa.
3 Check In’s either via a Teams Meeting, Phone Call or drop you a line via email to touch base and see how you are tracking, where you need our support and have a chat about education, professional development and any frustrations.
This quarterly approach allows us to stay connected throughout the year celebrating what’s working well, addressing challenges early, and supporting clubs before issues arise.

How RGA can help
A Supportive, Education-First Approach
RGA’s approach to moderation is built on partnership. Where gaps or concerns are identified, our priority is to:
· Provide guidance and time to correct issues
· Recommend relevant education or mentoring
· Support clubs to improve systems and processes
Only serious or repeated issues are escalated, and clubs are always kept informed, supported and given clear timelines.
Why This Matters
Strong moderation protects:
Your athletes
Your coaches
Your club
Our wider community
It also ensures coaches remain eligible for accreditation renewal every two years through your CD&A, with education and professional development embedded into everyday practice not left to the last minute.
Walking the Path Together
The Moderations Program is not about catching clubs out it’s about walking the path together, building confidence, strengthening systems and supporting clubs to thrive.Your RGA team guides, supports and partner with you every quarter, every step of the way.
